Redang Island Malaysia
The magnificent Redang Island is situated at a distance of 45 kilometers from the coast of Kuala Terengganu and is the largest group of islands seen in the South China Sea beside the Terengganu coast.
The picturesque scene provided by the white, sandy beaches and the crystal clear water make tourists simply fall in love with the island. The glory of nature seen on the island surrounded all over by coconut trees leaves those visiting the place for the first time speechless. The waters here flourish with abundant marine life such as turtles, coral reefs, and fishes and are one of the favorite scuba-diving and snorkeling spots for enthusiasts. The boat trips heading for Redang are about 40 minutes long and start from Merang, a fishing village in the north of Kuala Terengganu. Every resort in the area arranges for boat trips to Redang and has a separate boating schedule that may change according to the weather conditions, the tide, and the sea.
